Adventurous Activities are at the heart of and essential to Scouting. In fact 50% of every sections programme should be doing something adventurous.
With so many activities available within Scouting, we need to ensure we continue to provide training and assessment opportunities for our members, so they can gain the skills required to run these activities safely.
POR 9.1.2.1
The District Lead Volunteer is responsible for approving all activities for Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and Scout Network. This must be by means of a system agreed between the District Lead Volunteer and each Group Lead Volunteer or District 14-25 Team Leader.
Use this form:
- When you are holding an event away from your regular meeting place
- Holding an event at your regular meeting place that requires a permit holder under the adventurous activity scheme
Do not use this form:
- If the event will include overnight accommodation for sleeping, use the online NAN form accessed via the membership system. For guidance see our NAN Application Guide.
- If the event will have more that 100 people present. This event will require more than 2 months notice, please refer to POR 9.6
Please submit this form at least 14 days before an activity. The form will be sent to the DLV or their Nominee and a copy sent to you for your records. If you also include your GLV or District 14-24 Team Lead email address they will also recieve a copy. Please ensure in any case that your GLV or District 14-24 Team Lead is also aware.
