Scouts

The Scout section is for young people aged 10.5 – 14. The troop consists of small units of 6-8 scouts called patrols which are led by a patrol leader and an assistant patrol leader. Scouts troops can also be Sea scout troops or Air scout troops.

Outdoor activities play a large part in the programme with plenty of camping, fire lighting and traditional scouting skills along with the opportunity for more adventurous activities such as climbing, caving, archery, laser quest and go-karting.

Oxfordshire scouts organise a patrol camping weekend every October and there are opportunities for older scouts to apply to attend international trips organised by the county.
