Network

Network is the final stage of Youth Membership within Scouting. Adult members aged 18-25 are automatically listed as part of UK Network, so that they are able to do both leadership roles, as well as partake in Network events as participants.

The West Oxfordshire Network Unit hosts a wide variety of activities, from bowling to laser tag, as well as traditional scouting activities, such as hiking and nights away. WOD Network participates in national events, such as Revolution on the Isle of Wight, and Monopoly Run in London. We also have a good history of organising international events, with four members recently achieving their Explorer Belt Award, one of the highest awards in Scouting, in Norway and Sweden.

Explorer Belt – Sweden 2017

We hope to continue our presence both nationally and internationally, as well as on a local basis. Due to most Network members also holding leadership roles, and being busy with work or university commitments, we do not have regular meetings. This being said, we still meet as often as possible with as many members as possible.
